Siliguri, 06th February: As per the demands of a voluntary organization named “Natun Udyog”, Siliguri Municipal Corporation commenced the work of cleaning the dumping ground on the private land of Ashapurna Devi Sarani under Ward No 15 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation.
Reportedly, for the past 20 years, the said land has been converted to a dumping ground due to which the locals face a lot of difficulties. Recently, the said organization submitted a memorandum to Siliguri Mayor Ashok Bhattacharya demanding the dumping ground to be cleaned.
Meanwhile, the members of the organization expressed their gratitude towards SMC for fulfilling their demands.
