Sitalkuchi incident is the result of Mamata Banerjee’s provocative remarks: Nisith Pramanik

Siliguri, 14th April: During a press conference in Siliguri, BJP leader and Cooch Behar MP Nisith Pramanik stated that Mamata Banerjee and her “provocative remarks” are responsible for the Sitalkuchi incident.

Siliguri organizational district president Praveen Agarwal, BJP Yuva Morcha vice-president Gurpreet Saluja, and many others were present at the press conference in BJP’s Darjeeling district office on Wednesday.

Pramanik said that Mamata Banerjee, earlier in a speech, told the Trinamool activists to attack the central forces and likewise, the central forces were recently attacked in Sitalkuchi. He asserted that the central forces fired in self-defence.

However, he was unwilling to accept Dilip Ghosh and Rahul Sinha’s statement as provocative. He claimed that an explanation has been given to the Election Commission on their behalf and that they will abide by all the orders of the Election Commission to conduct the elections smoothly.
