Siliguri’s Ward No. 35 Councilor Sampa Nandi holds meeting regarding dengue

Siliguri, 02nd November: Dengue cases are rapidly surging in Siliguri leaving people worried and stressed. To tackle the situation, the Siliguri Municipal Corporation has constituted a ward committee. However, accusations of carelessness and failure of the corporation to tackle dengue are being raised across the city. 


In such a situation, Ward No. 35 Councilor Sampa Nandi held a meeting today with the ward’s sanitation workers, health workers, members of the ward committee and officials of the borough office. In today’s meeting, steps such as door-to-door surveys, and garbage and drain cleaning were discussed to control the spread of dengue. 

In this regard, the councilor said that dengue cases are very less in the said ward as compared to the others. Nandi added that door-to-door surveys will be conducted in the coming days. Various other problems being faced by the workers were also discussed.
