Siliguri, 22nd November: Siliguri’s Mayor Goutam Deb took stock of the fire-affected area in Khudiram Colony of Ward No. 18. The mayor was out of town on the day of the incident and returned on Monday. After his arrival, he visited the area in the evening.
During his visit on Monday, he also handed over the essential materials to the victims of the fire incident. The Mayor assured of a compensation of Rs 5,000 from the Mayor’s Relief Fund. Today again visited the affected area and interacted with the residents. He also ensured to hand over documents of the residents burnt in the fire at the earliest.
