Siliguri, 14th December: As the region enters mid-December, a cold wave gripped Siliguri on Monday. Compared to other days, several parts of the city witnessed dense fog resulting in a dip in temperature.
A handful of vehicles were spotted plying on the roads since morning. However, as the day progressed, the population on the streets increased. People were seen wearing warm clothes and burning firewood in the lanes to warm themselves.
