Kharibari, 01st September: The Siliguri Seva Kendra distributed ration among the needy families in Bashbari of Naxalbari Tea Garden. COVID-19 awareness was also raised among the people in the tea garden.
Siliguri Service Center member Ganesh Pradhan, Emil Kujur, Balmik Barla, and many others were present during the programme.
Balmik Barla stated that after seeing the heart-wrenching condition of the poor labourers in the tea garden area, voluntary organization Seva Kendra distributed 5 kgs of rice, 500 gms of oil, 500 gms of pulses, 500 gms of soybean, and 1 packet of flour among 39 families who are deprived of ration cards.
