Siliguri, 27th April: Despite repeated reminders to stay home and not to come out on the streets unnecessarily, there have been several complaints of people gathering at various corners around Siliguri deliberately violating the lockdown.
In this regard, the Siliguri Police and the Panitanki Checkpost police, under the leadership of Siliguri Inspector-in-charge(IC), launched operations in the Bidhan Road area on Monday and detained several violators.
As per a report, a man who visited the Bidhan Market to purchase a few vegetables, was also detained by the police.
