Siliguri, 15th July: Concerned about the increasing threat of dengue, the Siliguri Municipal Corporation organized a workshop dedicated to the prevention and control of dengue at the Ramkinkar Hall on Saturday.
The Siliguri Municipal Corporation has taken proactive measures to tackle the dengue menace. Several meetings have already been conducted with health officials and various departments to address the issue. Following the workshop, Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar stated that the Corporation is implementing stringent measures to fight against dengue. This time, special attention will be given to vacant lands within the city. Strict actions will be taken if these lands are not properly maintained, and if required, legal action will be pursued against the respective landowners.
