Siliguri, 11th May: Various organizations are coming forward to help people during the second wave of the pandemic. Oxygen services, food, and medicines are being delivered to patients free of cost.
Due to the increase in ambulance fare, the Siliguri Luxury Drivers Union stepped forward to help people. From now in, they will help the COVID-19 patients reach hospital or nursing home in cars. At present they are launching this service with 18 vehicles. They visited Siliguri Municipal Corporation on Tuesday and informed about the launch of this service. They handed over the list of their drivers’ names and mobile numbers to the BoA member Alok Chakraborty.
The members of the organization said that they have come forward to help COVID patients. This service will be provided in Siliguri and its surrounding areas.
