Siliguri, 01st March: Coaches in Siliguri-Darjeeling toy train have been air-conditioned to meet the tourists’ demand for comfort. This move comes as a surprise for many.
Air-conditioned coach services started from Tuesday at Rs. 1500 per head. The toy train from NJP to Darjeeling has two AC coaches and one general coach.
DRM SK Chowdhury of Katihar Division under North Eastern Frontier Railway inaugurated the new service at NJP station, on Tuesday. In March, the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway will host a summer festival at several stations. Various events will be organized for the passengers.
