Siliguri, 12th October: NF Railway Mazdoor Union organized a nationwide demonstration in support of the 9-points demand. The demand includes restoration of the old pension system, repair of railway quarters, payment of DA during the time of pandemic and many more. Siliguri branch of NF Railway Mazdoor Union joined the hunger strike and sit-in demonstration in Siliguri.
This morning, a hunger strike and a sit-in demonstration were organized by the union in front of the Junction railway station of Siliguri. In this regard, Central Vice President of NF Railway Mazdoor Union Prashant Kumar Dhar said that the old pension system should be restored at the earliest and cancel the new pension scheme. He said that if their demand is not accepted, they will further launch a massive agitation in the coming days.
