SFI and DYFI held a rally in support of several demands in Siliguri

Siliguri, 13th April: Darjeeling District Students Federation of India (SFI) and Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) carried out a rally in Siliguri in support of several demands, including the cancellation of the National Education Policy.


Reportedly, the rally commenced from Baghajatin Park in Siliguri, circumambulated various roads of the city and concluded in front of Payal Cinema Hall on Sevoke Road. During the rally, several slogans were raised against the Trinamool and BJP.

District SFI Secretary Ankit Dey alleged that efforts are being made to ruin education system in the name of National Education Policy, while stating that it should be cancelled immediately. He added that the protest is being held throughout the country. Further, he appealed for the victory of Darjeeling Lok Sabha constituency candidate Munish Tamang and Jalpaiguri Lok Sabha constituency CPIM candidate Debraj Barman.
