Jalpaiguri, 22nd January: A long queue of sex workers were spotted in Jalpaiguri waiting to receive their Swasthya Sathi cards, on Friday.
As per the report, the government representatives went to the red-light areas in Jalpaiguri’s Dinbazar to provide them with several facilities of the state government including Swasthya Sathi scheme.
The sex workers stated that the government is holding ‘Duare Sarkar’ camp at the municipality. However, many are not aware of the proper process required in this regard. Hence, they highly praised the initiative taken by the state government and district administration.
