Severing ties with TMC, Bikash Sarkar joins hands with BJP

Siliguri, 16th October: Leader  Bikash Sarkar, who was expelled from Trinamool Congress during the Siliguri Municipal Corporation elections, today joined hands with the opposition BJP.


 

Siliguri MLA Shankar Ghosh, MLA Anandamoy Barman and other leaders welcomed Bikash Sarkar to BJP by presenting the party flag to him. It is to be noted that Bikash Sarkar had contested as an independent candidate from ward no. 24 ward of Siliguri after not getting the ticket in the municipal elections. After this, he was expelled from the party. 


 

A few days back he had announced joining the opposition BJP. After which today he joined the said party. After joining BJP, Bikash Sarkar said that social service is his main goal. He said he will work for a social cause as long as he gets a good platform to work. During this, MLA Anandmoy Barman said that Bikash Sarkar’s joining their party will further strengthen BJP in Siliguri. He said work and responsibilities will be given to Bikash Sarkar in the coming future.
