Seven fresh COVID-19 cases reported in Siliguri Khudiram colony

Siliguri, 14th June: Seven fresh COVID-19 positive cases were reported from Dabgram No. 2 Khudiram Colony area adjacent to Siliguri Eastern Bypass. The infected were taken to Jalpaiguri, on Saturday night.


Dabgram No. 2 Panchayat Pradhan Sudha Sinha Chatterjee informed that a few days ago, a trader of Siliguri Seth Srilal Market, who tested positive for COVID-19, is a resident of the aforementioned area. Following this, the patient’s family members and neighbors were taken for a swab test. After collecting their saliva samples, they were asked to stay at home quarantine. Barricades were also put up in the area as a containment measure.

On Saturday, a total of 7 people, including 2 members of the patient’s family, tested positive for the virus. The entire area is likely to be sanitized today on behalf of the fire brigade.
