Siliguri, 08th August: In a significant breakthrough, another suspect has been arrested in connection with the theft of Rs 4 lakh from a residence in the Bhanu Nagar area, under the jurisdiction of Bhakti Nagar police station.
Reportedly, the theft occurred on August 1, prompting the house owner to file a complaint with the Bhakti Nagar police. Acting swiftly, police arrested the main suspect, Sangam Saibo, on August 2, recovering Rs 10,000 from his possession. Following his court appearance, Saibo was remanded to police custody.
During interrogation, Saibo revealed the involvement of another suspect, Deepak Kumar Paswan. Police arrested Paswan from Chandal More in Ward No. 43 on Wednesday night, recovering Rs 15,000 from him. Paswan was produced before the Jalpaiguri court on Thursday.
