Jalpaiguri, 31st July: Four people were injured after a school bus rammed into the rear of a small four-wheeler near Balapara More on the National Highway in Jalpaiguri. Several students travelling on the school bus escaped a major accident.
According to reports, the school bus was trying to overtake a stationary dumper when it hit the small car from behind. The impact left the car badly damaged, while four occupants of the vehicle sustained injuries.
Local residents rescued the injured and rushed them to a hospital. Police reached the spot after receiving information about the accident.
Police suspect that a brake failure in the school bus may have led to the accident. An investigation into the incident is underway.
