Sambar deer rescued in Alipurduar

Alipurduar, 08th December: A Sambar deer was rescued on the banks of Kurmai river in the South Kamsing area of ​​Alipurduar block No. 1. on Wednesday. The locals crowded the area since morning to catch a glimpse of the animal.


According to local sources, they were working in a field by the river on Wednesday morning. At that time, they noticed the deer. The villagers immediately rescued the animal and informed the forest department.

Upon receiving the news, the forest workers of the Chilapata range reached the spot shortly after. The deer was taken into their custody and released into the Chilapata forest.
