Siliguri, 20th November: Chhath Puja was celebrated in accordance with all safety measures and government rules across the city. The administration kept strict surveillance throughout the entire day.
The members of the Salugara Sahayak Foundation carried out various programmes on the occasion of Chhath Puja in the city. 100 blankets were handed over to the underprivileged people on Friday. Besides, 1000 masks were distributed among all the devotees at Salugara Chhath Ghat on behalf of the organization.
Yeshay Bhutia, a member of the organization, said that Sahayak Foundation has been conducting various social activities ever since the lockdown was imposed. COVID-19 awareness was also created among all the devotees.
