Takdah, 11th May: Amid the rising COVID-19 cases in the hills, RT-PCR tests are actively being conducted in Simlay Rongchong Gram Panchayat of Mungpoo under the Takdah Health Center, on Tuesday.
Reportedly, 43 people from Simlay, underwent the said test, under the guidance of health workers from Mungpoo Cinchona Garden Hospital, Takdah Health Department, Asha Karmi, and member of Mungpoo Task Force Kiran Pakhrin. The samples were sent to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital of Siliguri for further process. Earlier the health team had conducted RTPCR tests in different parts of Mungpoo.
Kiran Pakhrin said that it would take more than three days for the report to arrive. He further informed that under the supervision of Takdah Health Department staff, Mungpoo Hospital staff, ANM, and Asha Karmi vaccination programme was held for six consecutive times at Mungpoo Hospital.\
Darjeeling district recorded 431 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, out of which 07 people tested positive at Takdah.
