Siliguri, 22nd December: The Railway Protection Force (RPF), on Tuesday, demolished a house situated on railway land in the NJP Ambikanagar area.
According to RPF sources, several days ago, a notice was issued by the railways to evict the said house. Disregarding the notice, construction work commenced in the area. Acting promptly, the RPF reached the spot and razed the house today.
Meanwhile, the house resident alleged that no prior notice was provided to him in this regard. He further complained that no such actions are being taken against other people residing on the same railway land.
