Siliguri, 25th November: Several shops in Tikiapara have been demolished during an anti-encroachment and demolition drive carried out by RPF personnel.
Reportedly, illegal commercial establishments being run for the past several years were torn down while some have been instructed to halt all trade.
Meanwhile, the local traders accused the RPF personnel of conducting the drive without any prior notice. They complained of being extremely helpless at the moment as the shops were their only source of income.
