Alipurduar, 12th August: In a remarkable feat, the authorities of Falakata police station thwarted a robbery attempt on Kunjnagar Road in the Subhash Pally area of Falakata. Three culprits identified as Surjit Barman, Jagannath Barman, and Deepak Barman have been arrested.
According to the information, the police executed a raid in the aforementioned area on Friday night following a reliable tip-off. Upon sensing the police presence, the miscreants attempted to flee, but were nabbed by the authorities and taken into police custody. Notably, the three individuals were found in possession of two imitation pistols and other items.
During the interrogation, the police learned that the individuals had strategically placed nails on the road to puncture vehicle tires, effectively causing the vehicles to come to a halt. This tactic allowed them to loot the belongings of passengers with greater ease. The arrested individuals were appeared before the Alipurduar court today for legal proceedings.
