Alipurduar, 19th December: Panic triggered the residents following an attempted robbery at a gold store located in the Kamakhyaguri area under the Alipurduar district. The miscreants tied up two civic volunteers and attempted the loot. However, the prompt action of the police foiled the robbery bid.
As per details gathered, on Monday night, the Kamakhyaguri police were alerted by a gold store owner of unusual noises of someone breaking into the store. Upon receiving the information, the police officials swiftly arrived at the scene. Alarmed by the arrival of the police, the robbers allegedly fled the store and failed to execute their plans.
According to District Superintendent of Police Y. Raghuvanshi, the attempted robbery was prevented due to the swift action of the officers. Currently, the police are investigating the entire incident to promptly identify the culprits.
