Kalchini, 07th August: Sensation prevailed after the body of a retired forest personnel was found hanging from the noose in the Rajabhatkhawa area under the Kalchini block of Dooars. The deceased has been identified as Anup Bose (64), a resident of the Paschim Jitpur area of Alipurduar.
As per local sources, the body of the deceased was found near a barrack under the Rajabhatkhawa Range of the Forest Department. Following this, the matter was informed to the police. Upon receiving the news, police immediately arrived at the spot and recovered the body, and subsequently transported it for post-mortem examination. At present, police are engaged in investigating the entire incident.
