Residents of Rajganj’s Simulguri area depend on fragile bamboo bridge to cross river

Rajganj, 06th January: Due to the absence of a concrete bridge to cross the river, the people of the Simulguri area under Mantadari Gram Panchayat of Rajganj are dependent on a bamboo bridge constructed by themselves.
A demand for a bridge on the Neem River in the Simulguri area under Mantadari Gram Panchayat of Rajganj was made. Many people from Bhotpara, Chakiabhita, Chhoto Maulanigachh, Pakhidanga, and Simulguri villages have to cross the river through the bamboo bridge, due to which, they face many inconveniences.
The local people have alleged that the leaders made promises during the election, but the bridge has not been constructed, yet. So, the villagers, themselves, constructed a bamboo bridge, but the weak bridge cannot stand the flow of water during the rainy season. MPs, Councils, MLAs, and Gram Panchayat management have been informed in this context, but to no avail.
