Rajganj, 16th July: Residents of Dangapara under Majhiali Gram Panchayat in Rajganj block are facing difficulties after a portion of a road culvert collapsed, creating a large pothole on the route.
According to local residents, the culvert on the road connecting Bandhunagar to Patharghata collapsed several days ago. The damaged stretch has disrupted daily movement for residents as well as vehicles travelling to nearby factories and tea gardens.
The Bandhunagar–Dangapara–Patharghata route is an important connectivity road to Rajganj, with thousands of people using it every day.
Local resident Prashanta Barman said that the damaged road has caused severe inconvenience, especially for school-going children. He added that several factories and tea gardens in the area depend on this route, and heavy vehicles are also facing difficulties due to the damaged culvert.
Residents stated that the matter has already been brought to the attention of the concerned authorities and demanded immediate repair of the culvert to restore normal movement.
