Siliguri, 06th November: During a press conference, the COVID care network urged all citizens of Siliguri to refrain from bursting firecrackers, this Diwali, as per the government directives.
Dr Kalyan Khan said that at the moment, every locality has been turned into a hospital, safe house, and burning fireworks at such times is extremely harmful. Experts say that the poisonous gases released from fireworks could lead to severe lung problems, which could lead to dire situations at the moment.
Besides, the COVID Care Network and Siliguri Fight Corona will organize a joint conference with the COVID winners at Baghajatin Park, this Saturday. Regardless of party affiliation, CPI(M) leader Ashok Bhattacharya, Trinamool leader Ranjan Sarkar, police commissioner, and people from different walks of life will be present during the programme.
They appealed to all COVID winners to take part in the event on Saturday and spread awareness among the people.
