Siliguri, 15th November: The recovery of firearms from the Mayor’s ward in Siliguri has created a stir in the entire area. Reportedly, the sanitation workers found a one-shutter gun while cleaning the drains adjacent to Siliguri College of Ward No. 17.
The sweepers assumed the firearm to be fake at first, but upon closer inspection, they learnt that it was a real gun. Siliguri police rushed to the spot the moment they received the news. Ward Councilor Milli Sinha also reached the spot and ordered an inquiry into the whole matter. Meanwhile, an atmosphere of tension engulfed the entire ward after the incident. The ward residents are worried about their safety. The police are probing the entire matter.
