Siliguri, 19th April: In view of the rising number of COVID-19 cases, Shri Ramnabami Mahotsav Samiti decided to postpone the Ramnavami procession, this year, as well. A press conference was held at Siliguri Journalists Club on behalf of the association.
Secretary Goutam Kumar Bagchi said that various programmes were taken on for Ramnavami. However, due to the growing number of positive coronavirus cases, the procession has been postponed. He urged all the citizens to light 9 diyas on the evening of Ramnavami.
