Siliguri, 08th March: A number of Mahila Morcha organizations have come together to protest against the rise in commodity prices and demanding for women’s rights.
The rally commenced on Monday in front of the CPI(M) party office in Siliguri and toured around different parts of the city.
Snigdha Hazra, district president of the Democratic Women’s Association, said that women are not safe in the state. Hence, today’s rally was taken out demanding women’s protection and opposing the hike in essential commodities.
