Rajganj’s Badlagachha to receive drinking water facility soon

Rajganj, 29th May: In view of the long-awaited demands for drinking water facilities by the tribal community of Rajganj’s Badlagachha, the administration has come up with an initiative to solve the problems faced by the locals. Following the move of the administration, an atmosphere of joy could be seen among the people of the area.


According to reports, there are about 70 families living in Gaurmotgach of Badlagachha area of Majhiyali Gram Panchayat under Rajganj block, who are all tea garden workers. They have been living in the area for many years without drinking water facilities. In this regard, the residents had appealed at various offices, after which, Rajganj’s BDO, Pankaj Konar had also inspected the said area.

Meanwhile, in recent developments, a few days ago, the construction of drinking water tanks have been initiated by the North Bengal Development Department. In this regard, the local residents stated that they are happy as they will be able to drink iron-free water. On the other hand, area Panchayat member, Subhash Roy, said that keeping in mind the demands of the people, the works have been started, which will benefit the citizens of the area.
