Rajganj, 22nd July: A 29-year-old youth from Rajganj has gone missing after travelling to another district for work, leaving his family worried. Despite four days passing, no information about him has been found.
The missing youth has been identified as Rajib Mondal, a resident of Magradangi Dangapara under Panikauri Gram Panchayat in Rajganj block. He works as a mason.
According to family sources, Rajib had gone to Dolapara village under Pundibari Police Station in Cooch Behar district on July 14 for work. He was in contact with his family over the phone until Sunday evening, but his mobile phone became unreachable from that night onwards.
Since then, family members have searched for him through relatives and acquaintances at various places but failed to find any trace. His parents, wife and two children are now deeply worried as four days have passed without any information.
The family later lodged a written complaint at Pundibari Police Station in Cooch Behar. Police have started an investigation into the incident.
