Rajganj students secure first position in State-Level Primary School Sports Competition

Rajganj, 12th March: In a remarkable display of talent and determination, two school students from Rajganj have clinched the top positions in the recent state-level sports competition for primary schools and childcare centres.


Significantly, Deepankar Roy, a second-grade student at Bhotpara BFP School, and Rajesh Oraon, also a second-grade student at Kayet Gachh Additional Primary School, emerged victorious in their respective events, sparking celebrations among their families and communities. Notably, Deepankar Roy, father worked as a daily wage labourer while Rajesh Oraon’s father worked in a tea plantation.

According to reports, the two-day competition was held from March 9-10 at the Baharampur Stadium in Murshidabad district. During this, Deepankar Roy secured the first position in the 75-meter race while Rajesh Oraon secured the first place in the potato race.


In response to their remarkable achievement, BJP leaders of the Rajganj South Division have assured their support to Rajesh Oraon, affirming their commitment to stand by him as he continues his journey in sports.
