Siliguri, 10th January: In a recent operation, two women and a man were arrested for allegedly running an illegal prostitution ring under the guise of a spa. The arrested individuals include the spa’s manager and two women, while a young man from Jalpaiguri, was also taken into custody.
Reportedly, the operation was conducted at a spa located on the ground floor of a mall in Matigara of Siliguri, where the establishment had been involved in the racket for a long time.
Following a tip-off, the Matigara police and the Special Operations Group (SOG) conducted a joint raid. Officers entered the spa undercover as customers and promptly uncovered the illicit activities.
All the accused will be presented in Siliguri Court the following day. The police have now launched an investigation to determine whether others are involved.
