Rajganj, 20th October: Preparations have begun for Raas Mela and Uttar Banga folk culture and Bal Utsav through Khuti Puja at Takimari in Gajoldoba. The Raas Utsav is going to complete its 24th year under the aegis of Nab Milan Yuva Sangh of Takimari of Mantadari Gram Panchayat under Rajganj block and Takimari Bazar Committee.
Raas Utsav will be held on November 07 and the fair will be organized from November 08 to November 14. The Raas Mela and Bal Utsav will last for 7 days. The members of the committee said that they could not organize the puja for two years because of the outbreak of coronavirus. As the outbreak has subsided, thus Raas Mela and Uttar Banga folk culture and Bal Utsav will be organized with great pomp. During the Raas Mela, Bal artists from the state as well as Bangladesh will perform in the festivities.
