Pulwama attack anniversary: Voluntary organizations in Siliguri paid tribute to the martyred soldiers

Siliguri, 14th February: It was a dark and gloomy day for the entire country on February 14, 2019, when 40 CRPF jawans lost their lives in one of the deadliest attacks on Indian security forces, at Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir. Four years ago, on this very day, a Pakistan-based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed suicide bomber rammed a vehicle carrying over 100 kg of explosives into the jawans’ bus in Pulwama district. The attack also left many critically wounded.

On the fourth anniversary of the tragic event, two voluntary organizations of Siliguri paid tribute to the martyred soldiers by garlanding their photographs in front of Baghajatin Park. Also, general public including the police personnel paid homage to the soldiers.
