Siliguri, 18th October: Demonstrations are being staged across the country condemning the vandalism of temples in Noakhali, Bangladesh during Durga Puja celebrations. So far, two Hindus have died in the ensuing violence.
Protests were staged in Siliguri, on Monday, on behalf of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Hindu Jagran Manch, Bajrang Dal, and several other Hindu organizations. A rally commenced from Hashmi Chowk and concluded in front of the SDO office. A memorandum was also handed over to the Sub-Divisional Officer.
