Siliguri, 29th March: Sensation prevailed after a pregnant woman was found lying on the road in the Sukantnagar area of Ward No. 38, Siliguri. After this, the woman was rescued from the road and sent to Siliguri District Hospital. Locals revealed that the pregnant woman was wandering in the area for several days.
After this, on the initiative of Ward Councilor Dulal Dutta, arrangements were made to feed the woman on behalf of a local school. When asked about her whereabouts, the woman refused to speak a word.
On Wednesday, the woman started having stomach pain and collapsed on the road. After this, with the help of the councillor, the woman was rescued and admitted to Siliguri district hospital. After reaching the hospital, the woman revealed her name as Malati Ghosh and her husband’s name as Ratan Ghosh, a resident of the Jaleshwari area. At present, she is being treated in the women’s hospital.
