Pradhan Nagar Police bust sex racket at a hotel in Siliguri, 9 arrested, 6 girls rescued

Siliguri, 25th July: A team of Pradhan Nagar police exposed a major sex racket going on clandestinely in a hotel in Siliguri. Nine men and six young women were caught in the act at Krishna Guest House in Champasari last night. Police also recovered several contraceptives from the guest house. 


During the raid, the guest house owner Adrish Kr Sah (28) of Champasari and manager Shambhu Nath Thakur (27) of Devidanga Bazar-Champasari of the hotel were also booked for allowing the immoral activity to flourish in the hotel. The other arrested have been identified as Nitesh Kumar Jha (34), Raman Kumar Jha (35), Dhirendra Kumar Jha (35), Pintu Kumar Jha (36) of Sheohar-Bihar, Nasir Jamal (32) and Rabi Shankar Ganesh (25) of Kishanganj-Bihar and Hari Karki (35) of Banarhat. While among the recovered girls, two are from Alipurduar, two from Kolkata, one from Kishanganj and one from Naxalbari.

According to IC Subhashish Chaki of Pradhan Nagar police station, his team received a tip-off regarding the flesh trade going on in the Krishna Guest House near Champasari and so conducted a raid. During this, the police caught many couples red-handed in the guest house. After which nine people including the owner and manager of the guest house were arrested. All the accused were produced in the Siliguri court today.
