Siliguri, 16th September: The Pradhan Nagar police launched operations in Siliguri’s Darjeeling More and arrested a man with a large number of yaba tablets. The arrested accused has been identified as Mithu Chakraborty.
Reportedly, the accused was travelling from Bagdogra to Champasari in an unregistered scooter with the drug, late Wednesday night. Acting on a tip-off, the police launched operations at Darjeeling More and nabbed him. Upon searching, 800 pieces of yaba tablets worth Rs 8 lakh were recovered from his possession. He was produced at Siliguri court today.
