Poltical conflict raises tension in Bhetaguri-​​Dinhata

Cooch Behar, 15th March: With the assembly election approaching nearer, a war of allegations between the political parties is intensifying in the poll-bound state. A similar incident was reported from Bhetaguri of ​​Dinhata which caused a stir in the area.


As per the allegations, Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) activists physically assaulted a Trinamool Congress (TMC) worker after the announcement of Nisith Pramanik as the BJP candidate for the Dinhata assembly. Apart from this, the BJP has also been accused of vandalizing and bombing the houses of the TMC workers. 

Upon receiving the news, the Dinhata police rushed to the spot and recovered the explosive. The police have initiated an investigation into the entire incident. Meanwhile, the accused has denied all the claims on the matter.


It is to be noted, Nisith Pramanik has been pitted against Trinamool leader Udayan Guha for the Dinhata assembly. People are anticipating a fierce election battle in the constituency this time.
