Siliguri, 08th January: Stir ensued in Shivmandir after a leopard was spotted in the area. Reportedly, the locals spotted the leopard running in the said area at around 2 pm on Sunday. Seeing a leopard in the area created a stir among the residents.
After this, its information was given to the Forest Department. As soon as the news was received, the forest personnel of Bagdogra range reached the spot and cordoned off the entire area.
On the other hand, the Matigara police also reached the spot shortly after the incident was reported.
