Siliguri, 27th March: In the board meeting of the Municipal Corporation, the opposition party raised their voice regarding the jam and illegal parking in the city. During this, Mayor assured to take quick action.
During the meeting, Leader of Opposition Amit Jain and BJP Councilor Manjushree Paul raised their voice regarding the problem of illegal parking and traffic in the city. Amit Jain said that the residents of the city are facing trouble due to this. He alleged that some businessmen are also charging parking fees without the knowledge of the corporation. They sought Mayor’s intervention to solve the issue at the earliest.
Speaking in this regard, the Mayor assured to take action after listening to the opposition. Mayor said that illegal parking will not be tolerated under any circumstances and action will be taken against any violators. He further added that works of the under-construction flyover on Burdwan Road will be resumed soon.
