Onion-laden truck missing case in Siliguri: 2 arrested

Siliguri, 24th January: After four months, the Pradhan Nagar Police arrested the driver and the associate driver, involved in the case of the missing onion-laden truck. The two arrested accused have been identified as Mohammad Shalimuddin and Shaheed Ahmed Talukdar, residents of Assam.


According to the information received, the transport trader of the Regulated Market, Adip Singh, had loaded 18,000 kgs of onions bound for Agartala, in a truck, registered in Nagaland, in October 2019. However, the truck disappeared before reaching its destination.

On 22nd October 2019, a complaint regarding the incident was registered at the Pradhan Nagar Police station. After the complaint was lodged, the team of Police, involved in the investigation, arrested the duo from Assam on 22nd January. Both the accused arrested have been presented in the Siliguri Court, today.
