Alipurduar, 14th January: A fatal road accident occurred on National Highway 31 in the Subhashini area of Alipurduar district, claiming the life of one and leaving another injured.
Reports indicate that a collision took place between a car and a motorcycle. The couple riding the motorcycle was thrown onto the road due to the impact. The motorcyclist, Ashok Majhi, died at the scene, while his wife sustained serious injuries.
Following the accident, the body of the deceased was recovered and sent to Alipurduar District Hospital for autopsy. The Hasimara police are conducting an investigation into the incident.
