Alipurduar, 24th December: A distressing incident surfaced where a man was tragically killed in a car accident while another received severe injuries. The accident took place, on Saturday night, on the National Highway 31 (NH 31) in the Bamunpara area of Alipurduar district. The deceased has been identified as Arpan Toppo.
According to reports, two locals of the Kodal Basti area were returning home from Alipurduar on a motorcycle when a large vehicle collided with the two-wheeler. As a result, the locals rushed to rescue the injured and immediately transported them to the Latabari Hospital, where the medical professionals declared one dead upon arrival.
Meanwhile, the other severely injured individual was referred to the Alipurduar District Hospital due to his critical condition. The entire incident is under further investigation.
