Siliguri, 10th April: In a significant breakthrough, the cops of Panitanki Outpost has arrested a thief with stolen AC wires. The arrested accused has been identified as MD Alauddin, a resident of Ratan Lal Basti under Ward No. 01 of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC).
As per police sources, AC wires were stolen from a total of five residences in Ward No. 16 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation on March 3 and 4. The rampant theft sparked sensation in the entire area. After the incidents, a written complaint of theft was filed at the police station on March 9.
Based on the complaint, the cops of Panitanki Outpost launched an investigation and arrested the accused Alauddin within 24 hours. Additionally, the police also recovered a huge quantity of AC wires from the accused. At present, the police are engaged in a detailed investigation of the entire matter.
