One arrested with snake venom worth Rs 30 crores from Mahahnanda River Bridge

Ghospukur, 16th October: Ghoshpukur Forest Department has intercepted a person with snake venom worth Rs 30 crore before smuggling it. Acting on a tip-off the forest personnel conducted a campaign and stopped a bike on the Mahananda river bridge on National Highway 31. 


While searching, the said snake venom was recovered from a jar. According to the forest department, the snake venom was planned to be smuggled from India to Nepal via Myanmar-Bangladesh. 


In regard to this, Ranger Sonam Bhutia said that a person has been arrested in this incident. The accused is a resident of Chopra of Uttar Dinajpur. The investigation of the entire incident has commenced.
