Siliguri, 13th March: The NJP police, based on a tip-off, campaigned in plain attire and nabbed one for running an illicit liquor trade. The arrested has been identified as Kamal Roy.
As per the report, the police campaigned in the Ambikanagar bazar area and arrested Kamal Roy with a huge cache of illegal country-made and foreign liquor. Roy was presented before the Jalpaiguri court today.
It is to be noted, the police have been campaigning relentlessly in the NJP area and have recovered illegal liquor in large quantities. Reportedly, such campaigns will be carried out by the police ahead of the election.
